New Eden
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
Overview
"New Eden" is a free-form strategic tower-defence game developed by team 3D3N to challenge the status-quo of grid-based tower defence gameplay - by giving the player absolute freedom over how they choose to defend their biodome by placing towers anywhere on the map.
Discover tower combinations and strategize for the most efficient and destructive base imaginable, but beware, enemies come from everywhere!
How To Play
The objective of the game is to defend your biodome from oncoming waves of alien insects while waiting for your biodome's shield to come back online. Repairs should take roughly 10 minutes. Within this time, you must utilize the money being generated by resources generated within your biodome to buy turrets to place all around your biodome to fend them off, as well as upgrade turrets and your farm to increase firepower and resources generation.
Story
"The year is 2437. Many of Earth's world heritage sites have expanded Earth's reach to the stars. You have been sent to one of these sites - a biodome based on Mars - as part of a research project to study Mars-terraforming to support Earth's magnificent biodiversity.
However, your biodome's protective shielding has gone down, and the local wildlife is beginning to invade the biodome and destroy humanity's efforts...
...but who are the real invaders?"
Controls:
The controls for "New Eden" are optimized for controller-based gameplay. There is a tutorial in game for those who wish to learn through gameplay.
NOTE: Android release requires an external gamepad controller, most generic/universally compatible controllers should work, keyboard is unreliable, and touchscreen is NOT supported.

Turret Dashboard:
The turret dashboard is your interface for interacting with various aspects of gameplay such as placing and configuring placeables, and is your main port-of-call for any important information such as biodome health, remaining money, current mission and time until shield repair.
- Biodome health / Available money
- Wave counter / Current mission readout
- Time until shield repair
- Placeable configuration panel
- Placeable configuration buttons
- Placement selection Info panel
- Placement selection menu
- Biodome to defend
- Drone (Player)
Placing/Interacting With Placeable:
You can select a placeable to place by using the placement selection menu [7] and the corresponding controls (D-PAD or numkeys) to browse each category and inspect each placeable. Placing a selected placeable consists of just pressing A or SPACE, just make sure you have enough money to afford the placement. Take note that placements will be placed directly underneath the drone, so make sure your drone is not hovering over the main biodome or any other placeable.
Configuring turrets via the Placeable configuration panel [4] & buttons [5] is another key way of improving your defences against the enemy. This interface gives you the ability to level up placeable which the player's drone is currently hovering over, as well as repair it for a cost or alternatively sell the placeable to gain extra money in a pinch.
